I received the details for our very first ministry location and start to this incredible journey!!!
Here they are:
My team will be partnering with a ministry called Mission of Hope Haiti based in Titanyen, which is just outside the capital Port au Prince. There will be 2 teams aiding this ministry for the month, Team Gospel Girls (that’s me) and Team Mish’phhah. Our ministry hosts will be Austin Oberlag and Matt Johnson. I’m not sure what ministry will look like exactly but we will be doing village ministry, construction, and teaching English. There may be other opportunities that arise during the month as well, so we’ll see. We will be staying on a compound that is secure with armed security guards. We will not need to pop up our tents this month as we’ll be staying in guest houses with bunk beds and full bathrooms, yay! The food and water supply are clean and safe, unless in villages where we will take our precautions. We will be flying out of Atlanta, GA on August 7th, stopping in Fort Lauderdale, FL for a hopefully quick 6 hour layover, and land in Port au Prince later that same day.
