Yes it is true I return to the United States in 14 days. It is beyond surreal at this point. There is excitement and sadness at the same time. Excitement that I am returning home but sad that I am leaving my other home behind.
Being on this squad and doing life together was absolutely amazing this year. My squad had made it feel like home. Not only did my squad make me feel like this but there are places around the world that felt like home to me.
I’m going to give some honorable shoutouts:
? Antipolo, Philippines
? Quito, Ecuador
? Côte d’Ivoire, Africa
These are my favorite countries so far. Loved serving in all of these countries.
I actually loved serving in all the countries that I went to but these are the only countries that made me feel at home.
I have realized throughout this year that home is not just a place in the USA for me. Home can be anywhere I want it to be.
Home is my heart. It’s where I feel loved most by people who barely know me. Will treat me as one of their own. Home is where God is also. God has been working through me and making me realize what home really is. My final home is with God and I gotta say I’m pretty psyched to meet Him.
As my season of the World Race comes to a close, I have to say thank you all for the prayer and support throughout this year. I couldn’t have gone on this amazing mission trip without y’all. Thank you so much!!
I’m so excited to see y’all again!!
Sincerely,
Allyson Miller
