What up y’all! Ya girl made it to Thailand, I’ve been here for a few days now exploring the city, settling in and sweating a lot.
We start ministry today and I’m super pumped! The Thai people are really shy and gentle, I’m excited to be here for a month and have time to get to know them & their culture. We went to a Buddhist temple our first day here and got to talk to Monks, it was probably one of the coolest things I’ve ever done! Jesus is all about relationship, all about being intentional so I think ministry should reflect that too, get to know the person. Here their beliefs and traditions, celebrate & love them, build friendships with everyone and you’ll see so much fruit. I thinks that’s what God has for this time, it might not be my ministry description but if I can just build a friendship with one person these next few weeks, then that’s seeds planted.
“Ministry is simply about loving the person in front of you.” – Heidi Baker
Prayer Points
- Fundraising! I need to raise $2,900 in the next month to stay on the field. Gods doing so much here and I want to see it continue!
- Team Leading! Last week our Alumni Team Leaders left and new ones were raised up, I’m one of them. Pray for me as I step into this and pray for me not to be concerned with making everyone happy. (People pleasing, learning how to step out of that. Yikes.)
- Chiang Mai! Wow, I love this city so much already. Pray for the Lords heart and Spirit to overflow here.
- The Holidays! I’m a big holiday person, I love tradition. Pray for my heart during this time. Here on the Race we talk about something called “The B zone”. It’s when you slip into a place of coasting through and wanting to not be where God has you. Pray against that during this time, that I’m living fully present in where God has me & not sitting in the homesickness.
I’m excited to see what God has this month, I’m excited to see Him move in a culture and in a way I’ve never seen before. Im excited to walk out what He taught me in Guatemala and enter into this new season with Him.
Thank you all so much for keeping up with my journey & praying for me. Knowing that I have you all at home brings me so much comfort on the hard days!
