“What if what I have to say isn’t good enough?”
“What if they don’t want us to pray for them?”
“What if they don’t want to come?”
“What if they laugh at us?”

Doing life, doing ministry with the idea of “what if…” is not Gods plan for His church.
Lately Gods been teaching me that when I say “What if…” I’m actually doubting Him, His power, His plan & my own identity.

Woah, right?

A life lived for Jesus is a ministry, and when we start thinking those thoughts of doubt, we’re actually taking what God wants us to trust Him in & putting it in our own hands. God touches the hearts of people more intimately when we step back and let Him take the lead instead of wondering “What if I don’t say the right thing?” If we follow where the Lord is leading, we will never say the wrong thing because our words won’t be our own anyway.

“What if no one shows up?” Jesus didn’t stop pursuing people because they didn’t come to the party, in fact, He intentionally sought them out when they didn’t come. His heart for the individual is so big, he doesn’t see it as an inconvenience or discouragement when just two or three come instead of the whole fifty. He sees it as a celebration with the few who DID show up because He can love on them just the same.

Gods heart is so big for His people, and by us choosing to have that same heart we also have to trust that He knows how to love them better than we can & to follow, instead of asking “What if…?”

“If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen.” 1 Peter 4:11
