We are in Ghana!! We began in the city of Accra, where we had a debrief with my the whole squad. To see how things are going, shared testimonies of Cote d’Ivoire and were poured into by our leaders. We arrived in Accra on the eveing of February 14th and February 19th, began ministry in city of Sunyani. About 7 hours northwest of Accra. We will be here until March 14th before heading off to our next country, Cambodia! This month, my whole squad is together whereas last month, we were split up into teams through out the country. Its been great spending time all together!!

We are partnering with an evangelizing church called Elim City. Once a soul is won, they have a discipleship program for them and are also invited to join their church. Elim City church has been such a blessing to our squad! They are on FIRE for God and I have enjoyed every church service! If you’re ever in the area, definitely visit Elim City church.

A few days ago, before heading out for street evangelism, my team and I started with a short prayer together. While praying, I saw a short vision of a girl in a yellow skirt, a white shirt with a purse draped over her shoulder and she passed me in as if in a hurry to get somewhere. I didn’t think much of it but ended up sharing with a team mate anyways.

We talked to a couple street vendors and prayed with them and offered encouragement. As we continued to walk, one of my team mates, Danielle, noticed a dirt path to our right and felt prompted to take that path. As we were walking down the path, guess who we see?! That girl in the yellow skirt, white shirt, with a purse over her shoulder and she hurridly rushed pass us. Danielle caught my eye and I mouthed to her, “that’s her!!” so we let Mabel know, our interpreter, and Mabel rushed after her lol. We talked to her briefly because she mentioned she was in a hurry to pick up some things for her brother to bring back to the school. She was coming from a school down the dirt path. We finished our convo and continued on to the school. We came up to some open doors and saw a few teachers and began talking to them. They happened to be on a break… We weren’t sure what to say and just trusted God would provide the right words.

We let them know briefly who we are and what we’re doing. They let us know that if we wanted to talk to the students, we had to go through the whole bureaucracy process and set up a date/time, etc. We told them its okay and that we could just chat with them (the teachers) if they would like.

They began talking in their local language and before we knew it, we were told to follow one of the gentleman. He unlocked a room and told us to come inside. My team and I, still not sure what was quite happening, we stood outside the doors as students began to pile in and tried to put together some ideas on what we could possibly do right now. We had ideas to offer prayer for prayer requests and then turn on some worship music and people could come up to each one of us individually and such. But what happened was something different and aaaaamazing!!!

We were told to go up to the front of the class and still yet not knowing what to do, we just trusted God will speak through us. I gave a brief run down that we’re missionaries from the US, here to answer any questions about God, offer prayer and encouragement, that we believe God led us to this place and we trust He has a purpose. One of my teammates asked if anyone in the room believed in Jesus/we’re a Christian. One person raised their hand. We were in a room of about 25 people. One gentleman had a question and one after the other, continued with his questions. His questions were good and deep and if he wouldn’t have asked the questions he had, we probably wouldn’t have covered all that we did by answering his questions.. my team did great in tag-teaming answering all the questions asked!

After about an hour, we let them know that the church we’re partnered with has a discipleship program and they could come and spend more quality one on one time with a member that could answer their questions. Before we wrapped up and ended our time there, we asked if anyone would like to commit their life to Jesus Christ and pursue and intimate relationship with him.. and PRAISE GOD!!! guess what?! 9 people raised their hands!!! I was crying tears of joy inside as I led them in the salvation prayer.. I was and am, so overjoyed!! So blessed to be a part of this!

We connected them with the discipleship program at the church and gave them the times for church services. Another blessing that happened is that since the school is a boarding school, they have to get permission to leave the premises and even then, have to have someone come with them. We spoke to the vice principal afterwards, who was hesitant at first. But after giving her more of a story, she said she would work on it and that evening we actually saw these students in the church! ..on a weekday.

I believe the reason why God gave me a glimpse of the woman that we came across was to confirm that we were on the right path and that we were headed to where He wanted us to be…

I am blessed to be a part of this and it is because of Gods grace and your support!! Thank you!! …this is your harvest as well!! because your support helped me get here.

And, all the glory and praise to God!!!

The school that we were led to… and the classroom that we were in.
