The Gift that Keeps on GIVING!!
5 days ago I found out I had LICE. YIKES!!
It’s the gift that keeps on giving. I believe I got lice from the little ones back at the pre-school. Woof, it is so gross to me knowing I had little tinny bugs running around in my hair. I was hospitable to a parasite unknowingly. Yikes Yikes Yikes!
Im still in the prosses of getting rid of these little guys. I have done two hair shampoo treatments so far and have had my hair picked through so many times I can’t even count. It has taken hours to get the little nits out. I am sleeping with oil in my hair to suffocate the little guys and a shower cap! It’s a really good look for me!! I am finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel! I’m almost in the clear.
Washing all my cloths and bedding is so exhausting. But the nit picking is even more time consuming.
The night I found out I was literally freaking out in the shower…. I had no iIdea what LICE looked like and our host/ pastor had just said they found flees in one of the rooms, so I was unsure on what was in my hair.
I boiled my cloths…. I know this sounds ridiculous, but it happened! My team was laughing at me the whole time, but I mean business. I am getting rid of this crap. There are no dryers in Europe/ at lease at all the places I have stayed so I had to get my cloths hot enough to kill the little bugs… so I boiled them. Ha Ha Ha!! I stirred and poked my clothes all night long!
Amber spend hours and hours picking the nits out of my hair. She is such an Angel! I am so grateful for her. This experience was so humbling because I am 100% dependent upon her for getting these little bugs out of my hair.
The funny thing is I had been praying to God to keep me humble and I think this is his way of showing me humility.
I hope to be lice free by the end of the week. I will keep you all posted!!
