This month was an ATL month which means “Ask the Lord”. We divided our time between two country’s Bosnia and Croatia.

Croatia is a beautiful country. We were in Split and it is located along the cost which typically means a lot of tourists. This happened to be perfect for us because of the language barrier. Typically, you find a lot of English spoken in these areas which was exactly what we needed!

While we were still in Bosnia we reached out to a Baptist Church in the Split area and we had the opportunity to partner with their church for a few weeks. We were able to meet with a few members of their church and hear their powerful testimony’s. They welcomed us with open arms it was truly beautiful. Their Pastor had such a heart for the community. He has such a pure love for the Lord and is full of wisdom. Please keep that church in your prayers.

I felt so honored to hear so many beautiful stories. There has been a lot of war all throughout Eastern Europe. These people are so strong and resilient.

When I was not working with the church I did cafe ministry in Split!  This is where you grab a coffee and pray that God will bring you someone to speak with. This is really a beautiful thing! I got to hear a lot of stories.

One girl I met was from the U.S. and her heart was so raw and ready. We had a deep conversation that left us both in tears. This journey has really taught me to leave space for interruptions in my day. These interruptions allow God to do his work through us! Our day to day life is a mission’s field. I am a true believer in if we just live our life’s and we are open to these “interruptions” God will bring people to us. Theses conversations could spark something that could change the course of someone’s life. Even just a smile can make a person’s day. We are called to love. Listen and Love!! If you can’t listen you can’t love properly.

At the beginning of this journey I promised myself that I would work out 3 times a week regardless of the situation or circumstances…. My first day in Split I was doing my workout in the parking lot of our apt complex and I meet a little old Granny!! This Granny invited me in for coffee and this was the beginning to our beautify friendship!! She spoke absolutely no English but her grandson spoke perfect English so we got to communicate through him. Then I met her daughter and she was so lovely she also spoke English. I got to listen to their family story and hear all about their lives and their hardships. They treated me like a daughter I felt to loved. It was just what I needed. I think I was brought to their family to just listen, love them, and them love on me! I was missing home and this family was so warm and loving I felt like it was my home away from home! This Granny would invite me over for coffee, lunch, and she would make me little cakes!! She was so generous. This family was my favorite part of Croatia!
