I am still at the Missions Training Center located on that remote island. The training centre has no running water.
They have tried to dig a well twice but the ground here has so many rocks it broke the drill both times. Right now they are drawing water from a creek by using buckets. During the dry season which lasts around 7 months, this is done every morning and sometimes again in the afternoon.
This campus houses anywhere between 40-60 people daily. That requires a lot of water. This process is so time-consuming. The students draw the water, then boil the water, then distribute the water to where it’s needed. The time it takes to do this takes away from the student’s studies.
Pa (the founder of the training centre) is in the process of finding a ground surveyor with the hopes to find an underground water source and a softer plot of land. The Missions Training Center is currently raising money for this project and are requesting our prayers. They need $20,000 to complete this project. Please please keep this water situation in your prayers.
Their dependence upon the rain has become apart of their lifestyle.
They celebrate and sing praises to God every time it rains. It’s beautiful! Their voices are so pure and lovely! Their way of life is so humbling. These people are so joyful and loving even in these really hard conditions. The students never complain and they are so hard working. These students make every meal, draw the water, have 3 sessions of lessons there first one starting at 5 am and their last one ending at 8:30 pm. They are so dedicated to learning and growing in every way. It’s truly incredible. These people are so wonderful.
The students and the staff here are living for eternal treasures.
All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is by his great mercy that we have been born again because God raised Jesus Christ from the dead. Now we live with great expectation, and we have a priceless inheritance- an inheritance that is kept in heaven for you, pure and undefiled, beyond the reach of change and decay. 1 Peter 1:3-4

So when your faith remains strong through many trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world. 1 Peter 1:7b
