Hey y’all,

If you haven’t had the chance, please read my previous blog to gain a more accurate understanding of what i’m trying to voice through this Part 2 edition of Matt 12:25, stating “And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand

PART 2:

After reading Part 1, I hope that the reader has concluded that the Lord Jesus of Nazareth (as we know him today), is the kind and merciful ruler that has been placed over us. He desires for us to have peace, and to prosper in all of our ways, and to do good to him and all who dwell with us. HalleluYah

Now if we have received the Lord Jesus into your hearts, and claim him to be our Lord & Saviour (Messiah), than it would be in our best interest to,                                           1. know who he is through a personal relationship with him/his Father,                           2. understand the history of the people group he represents,                                       3. understand what he teaches/represents.

If you were to “define” a certain individual, how would you approach such a task? You would likely share the gender, age, race, ethnicity, characteristics, occupation, social status, etc.

Define:  verb

  1. state or describe exactly the nature, scope, or meaning of

If we were to “define” the Lord Jesus of Nazareth, what are some things that we could come into agreement on about this individual?

    1. He is the Son of God -Luke 9:35
    2. He is a descendant from the lineage of King David – Matt 1:1-17
    3. He was born in a manger in Bethlehem – Luke 2:4-7
    4. He found favour in the eyes of YHWH and man – Luke 2:52
    5. He taught & fulfilled the law of YHWH perfectly – 1 Peter 1:19, Hebrew 4:15
    6. He was anointed to proclaim the good news of the kingdom of God –  Mark 1:15
    7. He was flogged and sentenced to death by means of crucifixion, and was resurrected on the third day, halleluYah! – Matt 16:21, Matt 20:19

    – these are only 7 of many points that define who the Lord Jesus is. Please add more about this wonderful Saviour in the comments section of this blog.

There are many more things that Jesus did. If all of them were written down, I suppose that not even the world itself would have space for the books that would be written.” John 21:25

    Now for the point I would like to make in/through this blog;
If we decided to remove one of the 7 aspects listed above that define Jesus of Nazareth… would we not be removing a significant part of who he actually is???
e.g: if we took away the fact that Jesus is the son of God, would that not alter everything about him? Or if we denied that he was of the lineage of King David?? Then he wouldn’t fulfill the prophecies! What if we said that he didn’t teach the law of YHWH?? Wouldn’t that contradict the law that he came to fulfill? See Deuteronomy 13:4 for reference.

Comparison: The current Prime Minister of our country is Justin Trudeau. Justin Trudeau is also the leader of the Liberal Party of Canada. If we were to acknowledge that Justin Trudeau is the leader of this country and of his political party, but if we denied that he supports/upholds the liberal policies/agenda… would we not be altering a large part of who he actually is?? It would completely redefine who Justin Trudeau truthfully is!

…. I think/hope/believe my point has been made.

I pray that this message finds you well.
    Shalom in Christ our King.

“Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets. I have not come to abolish them, but to fulfill them. For I tell you truly, until heaven and earth pass away, not a single jot, not a stroke of a pen, will disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished.

So then, whoever breaks one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do likewise will be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever practices and teaches them will be called great in the kingdom of heaven. For I tell you that unless your righteousness exceeds that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.
