And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand: Matthew 12:25

Shalom friends,

A short analogy that came to mind as I was working this morning goes something like this:

July 5th, 2019

If a ruler is placed over you and allows you to dwell in the land, and he desires for you to have peace and prosper in all that you do, doing good to him and all who dwell with you; would you acknowledge this ruler?

Assuming you answered “yes”.

In an attempt for this ruler to maintain order over the ones that he governs, he places laws/instructions over the people to govern them in “the way” so that they may continue to be fruitful and live at peace with him and one another in the land that was given unto them.

Now these laws/instructions are given to maintain the overall health/well being of the people, land, and animals. They are given to establish justice/righteous judgement in all matters of dispute. They are given in order that the ruler may be honoured and that his name would be praised among the inhabitants.

… sound familiar?

“for those who have an ear to hear, let them hear”

The earth is the LORD’S (YHWH’s), and the fullness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein. Psalm 24:1

Hear now, O Israel, the statutes and ordinances I am teaching you to follow so that you may live, enter, and take possession of the land that YHWH, the God of your fathers, is giving you. Deuteronomy 4:1

I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and curse. Therefore choose life, that you and your offspring may live, Deuteronomy 30:19

“Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. Matthew 5:17

What then shall we say? That the law is sin? By no means! Yet if it had not been for the law, I would not have known sin. For I would not have known what it is to covet if the law had not said, “You shall not covet.” Romans 7:7

Teach me, O LORD, the way of thy statutes; and I shall keep it unto the end. Give me understanding, and I shall keep thy law; yea, I shall observe it with my whole heart. Make me to go in the path of thy commandments; for therein do I delight. Psalm 119:33-35

Grace and peace in our beloved Saviour, Yahusha Masiach
