Hello my friends.
I am currently still in the Netherlands with my family, and i’ve decided I’m going to start summarizing what I’ve learned throughout my year of travelling the globe.
I’ll start with five main conclusions.
#1: Everything created by the hand of God is wonderful and good (Genesis 1).
You can travel to any country in the world and see Gods glory, His creativity, His divinity, His awesomeness, throughout all that He has created, including mankind. The mountains proclaim His glory. The sunrise over the waters proclaim His glory. The sunset in the desert proclaim His glory. The fields, the flowers, the birds, the bees. They all proclaim His wonderful glory.
And God saw everything that he had made, and behold, it was very good. Genesis 1:31
#2: Mankind has corrupted the glory of God
We are made in the image of God and we are created to carry His glory. Unfortunately due to our sin/disobedience/unbelief, we have corrupted the image of God that is in us and as a result, have sinned against His throne, His creation, and eachother. This is also very evident in every country that I visited.
For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, Romans 3:23
#3: Jesus is the ONLY way.
What I mean when I say this is that Jesus will deliver us from our two biggest problems. The first being the powers of sin/darkness/demonic strongholds upon this earth. The second being from the wrath of God and His righteous judgement that is promised to fall upon all creation on the final day.
There are many religious and philosophical ideas throughout the world that claim to help you live an abundant and “happier” life. Some even claim to get you into “heaven”. Although I already believed this prior to my travels; this year of travelling has only further strengthened my faith and affirmation that Jesus is the Way, the Truth, the Life. The ONLY way unto God the Father of all creation. Amen. (John14:6)
#4: The Word of God is alive and active; sharper than a double edged sword (Hebrews 4:12).
All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, (2 Timothy 3:16). The Word of God is relevant in every country/culture and it will convict people, it will give people abundant & even eternal life if they repent and turn to the Living God. There’s a very real possibility you will be persecuted if you proclaim Gods Word through your words & deeds, no matter what country you are in. Praise the Lord.
#5: The end of the matter; all has been heard. Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole duty of man. For God will bring every deed into judgment, with every secret thing, whether good or evil.
Ecclesiastes 12:13-14
In some regards I feel like King Solomon after he concluded his thoughts in Ecclesiastes 12. Of course he was much older, wiser, and with many more years of experience underneath his belt but I have come to same understanding/conclusion after travelling and seeing so much of the world this year. Fear God and obey His commands for the fear of the Lord leads to life. Hallelujah! (Proverbs 19:23)
I hope you were blessed by following my journey this year. Once again I thank you for all the thoughts/prayers/financial support/words of encouragement and anything else that helped me along the way. I haven’t yet decided how or how soon I will continue but I am sure of this; that I will fight the good fight of the faith. I will take hold of the eternal life to which I was called and about which I made the good confession in the presence of many witnesses. (1 Timothy 6:12)
