Hey y’all !

I would like to give you an update on my current progress with fundraising and just in general,  what Jesus has been up to in my life.

… so. Fundraising has begun. I’ve sent out a few “pre call letters”, 19 to be exact. Another 180 to go  ! Don’t worry – I  still have 4 months to get those done!

On a positive note, I took the opportunity to sit down with some neighbors and find my first few sponsors, (thank you Jesus) !! I was blown away by the openness and generosity of my neighbors/first sponsors. If you are reading this – thank you again !! It’s a good start but we still have a lot of ground to cover before January! I plan to visit one or two families per week to keep the ball rolling, and I will try to keep you updated on the progress. God is faithful and I am trusting Him and His perfect timing throughout this process.

Now about Jesus & myself; I’ve been putting in a lot of time at work these past few months. For those of you who don’t know, my boss is putting up a new dairy barn with two robots. The plan is that the two robots replace the need for my employment, and when everything is running smoothly, then I will be free to go (yay)!! If all goes as planned then we will be moving cows into the new barn on August 29th – the end is near.

I might be busy at work, but that doesn’t mean I don’t have time to spend with Jesus or time to love my neighbor as myself !  We just need to make time. God has taught me that we are only as busy as we make ourselves. So when we say we’re too busy or over-worked, then we usually put ourselves in that situation and need to re-prioritize (my opinion). I find that we sometimes prefer to make ourselves busy doing our own will rather than His, amen ? …. maybe it’s just me ?

What if we incorporated the two and took a few minutes out of our busy schedules to love on the people that we encounter throughout our day?

I will share a cool encounter that I had with the milk trucker earlier last week (one of the few opportunities I have to share Jesus at work). This milk truck operator had a hip replacement when he was 14yrs old and was never fully healed from it. He walks around with constant pain that he has learned to cope with and worries that the other hip needs a replacement as well. He allowed me to pray for him & now thanks be to God – those hips were instantly healed and he was able walk without pain! Hallelujah, praise God !!

Jesus was a miracle healer when he walked the earth 2020 years ago… Jesus is still a miracle healer today !! The key is that he wants us to be His hands and feet and have faith that His word is true and that He is alive and wants to use us to perform these miracles every single day! Jesus tells us in John 14:12 that if we believe, then we will do the same works and even greater works then he!! That’s incredible !! God I pray that you grant us the faith to believe that your word is true and the courage to step out and be your hands & feet, in Jesus mighty name. Amen.

John 14:12 Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.

From what I understand, the healing ministry of Jesus will play a large role towards our outreach in the countries that our team will be visiting. When Jesus heals people from sicknesses and disabling spirits, as we see in the bible and everyday testimonies – those people have a divine encounter with the ONLY One True God who is made known to us through our Lord Jesus Christ. These encounters provide a great opportunity to share the gospel and explain who God really is, especially in countries like Tajikistan, where 99% of the population follows Islam.

The healing power of God is not only needed in foreign countries, but is needed in all nations, including our own! But true healing does not happen through a hip being healed or any other miraculous work. True healing comes from receiving the grace that God has shown us by sending His son to take away our sins through death on a cross. True healing comes from receiving Jesus into your heart and having an intimate relationship with the Living God. The only way we can have this is through the precious blood of Jesus Christ that He poured out for us on the cross.

If you are reading this blog and have not yet invited Jesus into your heart or need reconciliation because of sin or shame, then I invite you to pray these words with me. “Jesus, I receive your forgiveness and I invite you to come and heal my broken heart. I ask that you help me to repent of my sins and bring me to a place of peace with You, myself, and with others. In Jesus name. Amen.”  I truly believe that if you made that prayer then you have just taken a step towards freedom my friends. Hallelujah !

I am going to wrap up this blog post now -p lease respond with feedback below. I want to thank you all for taking the time to read this. I hope and pray that you were encouraged in your walk with The Lord, and in your support for our mission/team. God bless you all and I hope to be writing again soon !
