Romania definitely was special and was a blast. Getting the opportunity to help, play, and just be apart of these kids lives for a few weeks was amazing. One might say unforgettable, but it’s a good thing there are pictures to remember our time with these children from the Gypsy ghetto.
From cleaning carpets with hand soap, laundry detergent, scrub brushes, and freezing water……
to being silly and just taking pictures!
From playing games with soccer balls and Simon Says……
to using markers as lipstick! oh Kid!
From a few photo shoots……
to the realization we would soon have to say goodbye with teary eyes.
From staying a little longer to spent just a few moments more with these kids…..
to missing 4 to 5 buses to take a few more photos and having a bit more fun!
Leaving these kids was harder than expected……
but their smiles will always make our hearts happy.
the moments of the hard goodbye was filled with more poses……
to more teary smiles……
to many meaningful hugs……
to the point where the amount of love and attention they received from us is probably more than they may have received in their short lives. They will be missed and we are all very glad we were able to show them the love of the Father.
Until next time……
Matthew 19:14
14 Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”
