Argentina is the second stop on our World Race and it is hard to imagine that our time here is almost done. In 8 days we will be loading up on yet another bus to travel to Bolivia. Its going to be a long 20-30 hour bus ride with all 48 members of A squad. Will it be enjoyable? Who knows, but we were all able to spend time together at YWAM Mendoza. We were all able to spend time together through meals, worship, and even some fun team building activities.
The team building activities consisted of a high ropes course, a low ropes course, climbing a tree, a giant swing and some other games. However, for me the high ropes course was probably the best. The goal was to get from one side to the other with out touching the cables or ropes. For many it was difficult, for others it was terrifying, and some did it with ease. They did ask 2 people from each group to do the course blindfolded. I was one of the select few to do this.
The blindfold made it difficult for sure, but at the same time it was a great reminder of how we live life. It was a reminder of how we live in the present moment, and how we long to see what lies ahead of us, but we cant. The blindfold is the present moment right in front of us and so many people are so focused on the present moment that it blinds us to what is in front of us. We are unable to see what the Lord has in store for us
The great part is, if we surround ourselves with good trust worthy people/community, they can usually see what we can’t and they are able to direct/guide us to the next stage without falling or failing. With people walking beside us, they help us see what we cannot. Having so many people around is difficult, but its great having others around for guidance. They help keep our path straight and on track even when we are blinded.
But whenever anyone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. Now the Lord is the spirit, and where the spirit of the Lord is, there is Freedom.
2 Corinthians 3:16-17
