What am I wanting to learn on the race? Well I hoping to learn more about how to be disciple to others and teach them how to be disciples as well. The other part that I’m looking forward to learn is just how to let go of things and trust God in every single aspect of my life. Trusting him with every little thing and knowing that he will take care of me.
Its hard to imagine life without being in control, especially in the world we live in and even more, living in the country we live in. Its so easy to just call up our television provider and tell them that you internet isn’t working. Ya, you will have to wait for like 20 minutes for them to push a few buttons, but then all of the sudden, Hey! your internet and the television is working. We can feel like we are in control of everything that we do.
My question is why can’t we do that with Jesus, why can’t we just pray to him and ask him to help us out. I know for me is takes longer than 20 minutes, but I am working on my patience! Is it we don’t trust him because we live in an unbelieving world; where we can’t believe that the God who created us, can help us, that he can’t fix our problems, that he can’t love us for who we are? Its unbelievable that we as humans have so much trust in everything else except for the one who created us. We trust food products, airplanes, people on Craigslist, but we fail to trust the one who created us. The one who gave us our gifts and abilities. The one who knew our name before we were born. The one who sent his son, His very Own Son, to die for each and every one of us. Regardless of if you believe in God, Im telling you, he has shown all of us what Love looks like!
He allowed his very own son to die for us. Even when is own son asked for something different. From what I understand is Jesus didn’t want to follow through with what God had planned. In so many ways I don’t blame him. Shoot, I have a hard time forgiving people for something little, but Jesus, oh Jesus is the example of how it is to be a man, a true man. Not only did he die for you and I, but he died for everyone.
No matter what you have done. Jesus showed us the ultimate sacrifice, he gave HIS life, just so we could live forever, so we could be free from chains, and so we could have the freedom to pick and choose what we believe in.
I know there are a lot of religions out there, a lot of people who are atheists or agnostic, but when we look at the human race and the people who have been away from technology or the people who have lived in the rainforests practicing Cannabilism. They all believe in a god. What that tells me is that no matter where you are from or who you are; all humans know or believe that there is a greater power. If thats actually true, then, if you don’t truly believe in God and Jesus, then why not try it out, why not give it a chance? You may be surprised with what he will and can do for you. Im not saying he will make your life perfect, but he will provide, he will bless you, and he will give you the promise that you cannot get anyone else. Eternal life.
People gamble with lotto tickets, slot machines, and table games. Maybe we should all take a gamble with God and Jesus and see what he will do for us.!
