Ghana was full of surprises. It was the best of both worlds – experiencing very westernized parts, yet still some super authentic African culture. That for sure rang true with the bathroom adventures as well.
Oh this is a favorite. Crossing the border from Cote d’Ivoire to Ghana, we had a girl’s group pee sesh in an encircled area in the bushes. Lots of prickly things in there.
Our usual bus stops were in the woods. Not here, folks! We discovered the nicest public restrooms in all of West Africa, and toilet paper was even complimentary!!
We had an adventure day and went to a monkey sanctuary. I was just trying to do my business but these little stinkers kept distracting me and jumping in my stall.
