Leaving India was bittersweet. Since the last time I blogged, we went and visited the girls homes. Heartbreaking to say the least. The wealthier girls live in building like homes with usually 3 rooms, maybe one bed, with all their extended family. The other girls live in make shift tents on a dirt floor. Regardless of their living conditions, their families gave us everything they could whether it be tea or drinks or even just hospitality. I think everyone can learn something from how kind hearted these people are yet so little they have. I miss the girls so so much! They are so amazing & beautiful in every way possible & made such an impact on my life!
BUT now we’re in NEPAL!!!!! I’m in love with this country! Totally not what I was expecting! To sum up the vibe i’ve gotten from Nepal so far i’d say: sweetest, most caring people ever, adventure hub of the world, and some of the most gorgeous earth i’ve ever seen. We had debrief for a week which was our “rest time” in which we flew over Mt. Everest, got attacked by monkeys at a temple, ate tons of food we missed, and got tatted. It was actually restful in its own way!
Our ministry began this past week and it is wonderfully different. This month is more so led by the Spirit, so we spent the first day praying about what we feel the Lord is calling us to do. We did village outreach for 4 days where we stayed in a village like town and went around praying for people & visiting different churches. It was very eye opening & amazing to truly experience the different cultures. We started this week off with paragliding & getting to appreciate Gods creation from a different perspective. Our ministry for the rest of the month will change day by day but for the most part we will focus on making relationships with Nepalis and spreading Gods love to others through every way we feel possible!
Thank you everyone who has been following my journey and keeping my team and i in your prayers! I still have about $4,000 to raise in order to keep traveling and spreading Gods love. If you feel led to donate, it would mean the world to me. Thank you so SO much!
PS: The dog from India became our pet: his name is Max. We fed him, bathed him, and took care of him and now our host still takes care of him and sends us updates! Thank you so much for your prayers!
XOXO,
skyler <3
