In Haiti all foreigners (regardless of actually skin color) are referred to as “blanc”. Its an odd feeling having little kids run after you pointing, “blanc” “blanc”. My favorite has been the little girl down the street who dances and points saying “somos blancs, somos blancs.” Well I am a white person, living this month in Montrious, Haiti. I am working with a Christian ministry called Supply and Multiply, they have an elderly ministry, community outreach, and are working on reaching the surrounding towns.
