Hey everyone!!

Its been quite a while since my last blog, and quite a lot has happened since then.

We made it to Peru, after our near to 80 hour travel experience! The result of this insane travel time resulted in four people checked into the hospital, and several (including myself) with things like salmonella, strep throat, parasites, and altitude sickness. It was an interesting debrief to say the least…. I worked through a lot of fear concerning coming in to this month, with our men gone and seven new women to live with. It has actually turned out to be an incredible growing experience… these women have so much wisdom and good words to share, and I have loved every minute of it so far.

I have loved ministry here in Cusco. We have been working on VBS in the mornings and teaching English/hosting English cafes with University students in the evenings! Many hugs have been exchanged, and many good conversations have occured.

I was so thankful to be able to capture some shots of the kids from VBS one morning. They are alol from the day that we did stain-glass-hearts!

Vivin carefully places the purple tissue paper onto her stain-glass-heart. *not pictured, her puppy standing right outside the door. We literally had to hold him back to keep him from coming in, and once she was outside, he never left her side*

This sweet darling was my hair-twin. Her energetic and sassy self would not stop requesting to be picked up and spun around (which actually turns about to be very tiring in this alititude)! She is a big fan of hugs.

Lucio works on his stain-glass-heart. He and his siblings always show up early, and even on Saturdays, when we don’t have VBS. I have come to learn that he is creative and spunky, and loves attention!

This quiet but curious boy only showed up the morning I took these… I was able to get a few shots of him and his brother though, and this is one of my favorites!

The most popular and requested activity is definitely jump roping! Its proved to be a great invitation to bible school, as so many kids on the street will join in and then stay for VBS.

Before she left for the day, Vivin posed for me. She and her puppy then made their way home.

This sweet thing would not stop smiling so I snapped a photo, but just as Lucio was showing me his colorful heart. I still love the outcome!

These are just some of the kids who I get to spend my mornings with. I have not always loved childrens ministry… it just drains me a little more than some. But I have grown to love getting to show these kids pieces of our Father who loves them and made them to be so much more than they might know.

In addition to these pictures, I have a video of our biggest adventure here so far… Machu Picchu!! I started recording pieces for my family, and decided to put it all together. The two-day trip was so so beautiful… I have been many places in this world, and this was definitely my favorite.

Hope you enjoy(ed)!

Until next time
