Today was the guys’ first day in Laos, and man was it awesome! We got settled into our home and then went off to a go cart track to find our friends’ phone. Afterwards, we went and had pizza with our host and his family!

A little later we had a meeting just kind of going over what these next two weeks will look like, which will be construction, and some more construction. After our meeting, our host wanted us to go pray for a friend of theirs. We all went to a house just around the corner. There layed a man on a mattress in the living room, smiling as we all piled into his house. As our host family and his family spoke back and forth in Lao, I sat there feeling a heavy burden for this man. Apparently he has some type of rare blood disease. I sat there awkwardly staring at him just praying in my heart for him already.

We gathered around his mattress and layed hands on him. As we began to pray, I just sat in silence, welcoming the spirit. I uttered the words, “You give us power through Your Spirit, so move through me into him.” I immediately felt a rush of power through my body. Something that I have experienced before, but had honestly forgotten how powerful and humbling it is. We finished praying and just sat in the presence of the Almighty for a few seconds. The man laying there simply said, “I felt the power of God rush through my body as you all were praying.” I immediately got chills. In my mind I kept saying, “I felt it too man, I felt it too.”

God bestows His power unto us. We are told in John 14:12 that if we believe in Him, we will do the same, AND greater works than Jesus did on this earth. God grants us the power, we just need to learn to utilize it THROUGH Him.

Tonight was good. I definitely believe that these next two weeks will be equally as good, if not better.

Joyfully,
Preston
