I dont publically write as as often as I would like, becaue I aspire to write something buttoned up, or relatable to all people, or informational. But this is my journal entry from 730am this morning.
I used to belive that people who were more “thinkers” had an advantage in some areas over the “feelers”.
I viewed feeler types as less clearheaded, because with heightened feelings one is more prone to act on those emotions.
Also, feelings fluctuate and are seemingly more subjective.
But I dare say that God has showed me “thinkers” don’t have it any better when it comes to decision making.
Why? Because I still have to tell my logic to “shut up” and submit to God’s authority. Just as someone who would ignore a particular feeling or push it aside momentarily to press forward into what they Know to be the right course of action.
(To the non-Christ follower, what I said about telling your logic to “shurt up” sounded pretty ridiculous. And this further proves my point. ***)
Our Carnal but ever so thoughtful and rational mind can sometimes get in the way if Truth.
The Word of God, says one thing, yet we try to reason our way out of it.
God gave us the gift of thoughts and emotions but they are best stewarded under Gods authority.
This is humility.
It defies logic to say “yes Jesus, I believe the Holy Spirit miraculously planted You inside of a Virgins Womb.”
That is just not how our logical life usually works. #CuzScience
Yet Christ followers all over the world know and accept this fact (birth, death, ressurection). Or at least say they belive it’s true.
Why is it somehow easier to accept the virgin birth than know God has a perfect plan for our lives right NOW. At this moment in 2019.
As a follower of Christ, whether you are a thinker or a feeler, you still have to daily tell yourself to “shut up, this is what Gods word says.” Or at least I do.
Now if any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God who gives to all generously and ungrudgingly and it will be given to him. But let him ask in faith without doubting. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. James 1:5
God, your thoughts and ways are higher than mine.
Your life is more abundant than any life I could give myself.
Your truth sets me free… the worlds truth doesnt set me free, or any individual little truth doesnt set me free.
When the angel, Gabriel, came to Mary and said she was going to get pregnant with the most important baby, Who knows what mary thought or felt… but with her words she submitted to Gods authority. Maybe she felt she had no other choice, maybe because a spiritual being told her and it was powerfull and kinda scary?
So maybe you belive God is omnipresent, omnipotent, and omniscient and He does things in the spirit that we cant understand.
But that is NOT ENOUGH to just know or feel. It won’t change your life.
You must speak truth with your mouth and declare it over yourself daily.
A prayer in a time of chaos and anxiety:
God your word says that you have peace that passes all understanding. And even if I dont feel peace right now or the chaos or darkness surrounding, attacking or even in my life is not peaceful. If I submit to you, I will have peace too. In fact, the truth is, I already have it (Ephesians 1), you have already given it to me. It’s my right, as your child. Lord, I demand it from you because you give great gifts to your children and because you are in me and I am in you and because your abundant life does not involve distraughtness.
But in everything, through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
Please, join with me, and help me, in speaking the truth of Gods word, Gods Kindgom and who God says we are in the midst of lies.
Continually with thankfullness and confidence.

And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled only to those who are perishing. In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.
