It was a whirlwind of a week, but unfortunately, not Elijaha style.
In the Expedition theme of the World Race we travel far and move around a lot. This is not what every week looks like… But THIS happens:

We had an awesone 3 weeks in a turskish town. Then we went to Istanbul for 3 nights and 2 full days.
We left Istanbul, Turkey to take an Uber to our Bus at 7am.
Took that bus to Theosolonike or as the Greeks say it, Salonika.
Took a city bus from the big bus station at 9pm to get to our overnight train to Athens, Greece.
The train left around midnight.
We had great conversations with the women in our train cabin. Alexandra, who happened to be a somewhat famous singer in Greece.
Not so great sleep; the seats did not recline. Throughout this year it has been, and expectedly so, many sleepless nights.
The following day was the first time I recall taking a nap in the Race! I dont particularly love sleep, but it has to be done sometimes.
We were in Athens, Grease for 4 days and 4 nights.
Greese was wow wow wow.

The 1st time Thus far, our dollar did not go very far. It actually depreciated. So eating in $5 a day budget became a bit more challenging. But in a group, it can be done!!!
I never imagined that I would get to go to Greece and worship on the same Mars hill, Paul preached on.

From Greese, we Took a plane (We have only done land and sea travel since we landed in Hydrabad, India) to Barcelona.
We were in Barcelona for 1 day 2 nights.
And all 7 of us were so hospitably welcomed by two of my friend Anna’s college friends, Katherine and Valiery. We all squeezed in their one bedroom apartment!!
Barcelona had amazing old archietchure too. But check out this crazy demonic looking church:

From Barcelona we trained to Leon, Spain.
I really should have been doing this all along, with all the countries I have visited and people I have met along the way.
But me and many of my team mates have had great opportunities to pray for, connect and share Gods love with folks in Istanbul, Athens, and Barcelona. Believers and non. Mostly non. So here are people you could pray for:
Ahmad from Syria, a very intelectual man who is living in Turkey, Alexandra from Greece, Orestis from Greece, Marios from Greese, Dianne from Russia & Katherine and Valiery who are our sisters living in Barcelona.
These are just some people I encountered, there are many more amongst our group.
The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective. James 5:16-18 Elijah was a man just like us. He prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the land for three and a half years. Again he prayed, and the heavens gave rain, and the earth produced its crops.” God most definitely listens to prayers, answers prayers, and moves in response to prayers.
I’ve seen it. And I definitely belive it.
Also….You can have amazing connections with people, even if you can only meet one or two times!!
