This is my team. These are the people I am doing life with. And what a team we are. We are all blessed with many talents, skills, and personalities and somehow we work great toegether. I may be a little biased but we have the best team. God definitely hand picked this one.

Picking our team name was no easy task. It took us a full day to think of one. We came up with one at the last minute. Our name is Uprooted. I’m excited to see how God speaks into this name for us.

There are two meanings to Uprooted 1) It is our plan (well actually God’s) to uproot the lives of everyone we come in contact with during the race. And plan them in the rich soil of God’s love. Jesus in Mark 4, tells the parable of the sower where he tosses seed amongst the road, weeds, thorns, and good soil. Verse 20 says “others, like the seed sown on good soil, hear the word, accept it, and produce a crop thirty, sixty, or even a hundred times what was sown.” We want to uproot others so their fruit can be shared with others.

2) Our lives were uprooted from the comfortability of America and we are being planted in 11 different countries. Our “tree” are producing good fruit and are being watered by the living water of Jesus.

This past month we have seen many seeds planted and roots being uprooted in the Muslim men that we have talked to. Some decided to leave their life as a Muslim and follow Christ. They thirst for the living water of Jesus and crave the good soil of God’s love.

We look forward to seeing God uproot the lives in each country we travel too and help Him uproot the lives of those we meet.
