Let me tell you, God is so good. Words cannot express how thankful I am of everyone’s support and love. As of now, when I writing this post, I am $600 away from my $5000 goal due September 28th! That’s 25% of my total cost! (the bar above is off, because I have monetary donations I have not sent to my account yet).
So what is your donations used for??? Here is the breakdown:
- Training Camp–$354 – (Covers my cultural training before departure)
- Field Support–$708 – (Helping to get us supplies, local contacts, etc.)
- WR Development Program–$2,124 (Improvements and Developments)
- Administration Fees–$3,009 – (Processing, paying the staff who literally sets up all of our travel, meals, missions, etc.)
- World Racer–$11,605
The World Racer budget is broken down even more:
- Intercontinental Travel–$5,222.25
- Food–$1,508.65
- Lodging–$2,204.95
- Transportation–$1,276.55
- Long Distance Travel & Misc. Supplies–$1,392.60
This does not include other expenses for the trip such as supplies needed for the WR (backpack, tent, etc) and daily money for extra activities, food, souvenirs etc.
A current fundraiser I am doing is I partnered with the organization Threads of Hope. These beautiful bracelets were made by women in the Philippians to help provide income for their families. 50% of the proceeds go to help those in need and other 50% is towards my trip! Prices are: Small round $2 or 3 for $5 Flat $4 or 3 for $10 Let me know if your interested in buying one or many!
