Birthday blessings! I was so excited to be in an all squad time for my birthday rather than off in our individual teams. However, it ended up mostly being my team who celebrated me and treated me to breakfast, lunch (w/cake!), and playing games together. My team really did love me well.
The day after my birthday we went and taught at a local church fellowship where we were able to give them some basic tools to help build the body of local believers here in Nepal. Our team set up a discussion panel for each of the topics and it went really well! Upon finishing the church service we returned to our hostel to say farewell to our two male SQLs.
The next day we left for our trek! We trekked through the Himalayan mountains for two days totaling 35-40 km and these mountains are no joke! We had a lot of fun getting to know our guide Mohan and exploring the sights. I was simply proud I survived the adventure given challenges thrown along the way.
We are getting ready to go off to the jungle for a week and see what village life is like and how we can love on the people in Gorkha.
