Hey everyone. I’m officially about halfway month 2 of Ecuador and have less than 50 days before I come home. My ministry has been amazing thus far with Tamarita who runs it. She’s such a sweet woman to all of us and the kids we play with. But when she needs to there’s a little fire that comes out that’s actually pretty fun to watch. I’ve been helping in the kitchen. Cleaning and doing the dishes for her. She’s been helping me with my Spanish and doesn’t hesitate to ask me to do anything, Which is pretty cool for me. Home life has been, interesting. There’s 40 of us all under the same roof so things are never quiet. There’s people everywhere and there’s always someone to talk to. Which is actually a lot nicer than I thought it would be. I’ve gotten a gym membership at the beginning of the month and have been getting up at 5am. I’m going to start getting up early even if I don’t go to the gym that day. It’s making me feel better and keeping me in a good mental spot. And hey, I’m down to 200lbs flat. I haven’t been this weight in a few years. I plan on being down to 185 by the time I get back home. I’m feeling so much better physically, mentally and spiritually as I begin to prepare to enter the states in just a mere month and a half. It’s so crazy to me that these 9 months have flown by as fast as they have. It feels like just yesterday I landed in India getting ready to start this whole thing. And now, it’s just about over.
Back to ministry.
In my last blog I brought up the possibility of needing funds for supplies and to just bless the ministry there. Well. We now have a need. There are about 60 kids here at Covi and we are looking to buy school supplies such as scissors, construction paper, glue and possibly a whiteboard for the classroom. We are also looking to bless the organization with new kitchen supplies and things that the staff may need as well.
If you would like to bless some kids with these items. Please donate at my PayPal link paypal.me/NicksTrip and leave a note saying you’d like to be apart of this. Thank you to everyone who donates. When we give the kids their things I’ll post a picture of all of them and share it here!
