“Wow” was the only word the little boy stacking stones at the lake said.

This is honestly the same exact word I would use to describe these past few days on the race. Our squad joined together with three other squads for a conference called “Awakening”  this week.

There were various speakers, worship, evangelism training & executing, and intercession. I was blown away with all that Jesus did.

It was also Songkran during this time, which is the Thailand New Year’s and includes a water festival. The water symbolizes a blessing of new life for the new year.

I learned a lot throughout the Awakening conference and Songkran, but there was a repeated theme that stuck in my mind.

Gather stones.

In Genesis 31 Laban and Jacob make a covenant. To remember it, they gather stones as a witness. It’s something to help as a remembrance of the covenant.

In the same way, God has said “gather stones” to remember His faithfulness and all of His blessings.

The crazy thing is, the word remember was a theme from last month and the term “stacking stones” has been said through various speakers this month as well.

It had me thinking “woah God, am I suppose to be stacking stones to remember”

Today was confirmation of that thought. My team and I decided to go to a lake nearby and just take time to think and reflect on all that we learned from the Awakening conference and Songkran.

As we were swimming in the lake, a little boy swam over and splashed water at us back and forth. We all laughed and after a while he swam on.

While my team and I were talking in the lake, I looked over and stopped talking, my jaw dropped.

I was stunned to see the same little boy we met near the side of the lake stacking stones. I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. I started to tear up.

Instantly I knew Jesus was speaking to me, to start gathering stones. Stones to resemble different memories I’ve seen of His goodness over my life.

Like God calling me to the race, meeting people all over the world, being apart of the Awakening conference, being able to experience SongKran, and seeing people hear the gospel for the first time and come to Jesus. The list of memories could go on and on.

If you reflect on your life, what stones can you gather?

What key memories remind you of God’s blessings?
