“You need to leave” were words that pierced my soul. Broken I ran into the room and cried. With tears streaming down my face, I said “Lord where are you?” Doubts of maybe I’m not needed, or purposeful, or good enough resided in my mind. Has the work that I’ve done so far been straight up wasted? Why when I draw closer to you Lord, does it seem like the enemy tries to get a foothold of my life?
Maybe you can relate. You’ve had words like:
You’re invisible
You’re just a waste
You’re not good enough etc. etc…
Reside in your mind or have had those words spoken over you. Those words are lies that no one should cling to. Truth is, God is always speaking louder and more powerful than the voice of the enemy. Sometimes it’s hard to hear God’s voice in the clamor of lies around you. Trust me, I know, I had to sift through the thick fog of lies in Romania in order to hear God’s voice.
Romania is a beautiful country but I couldn’t help but feel the presence of spiritual warfare in the fog of the air. Romania is separated into two parts, the North and South. Both parts are in need of a revival. 4-7% of the North and 0.2% of the South are Christian. In the South, over 300 people gathered for a conference to practice witchcraft. The crazy part is that our squad is living and doing ministry in that same region.
I realized I’m not called to leave, I’m called to be here. I had to sift through the thick fog of lies of spiritual attack in my soul to realize this:
If I don’t do what God is calling me to do, then God will find someone else.
Our squad mentor has encouraged us to speak declarations of truth from the word of God over ourselves to bring about redemption. When we believe who God says we are, we are able to carry out the work in which He has called us. Together let’s trample the lies of the enemy and believe the truth about our lives. Life is too short to look back and think it all was straight up wasted. Let’s walk in freedom and declare who we are in Him and who He is to all creation.
You do not go unnoticed ——-Ps. 31:7
You are not forgotten —–Deut. 31:6
Your voice is heard —–Ps. 34:17
