One week ago our entire squad, squad leaders, mentors, and coaches were reunited for our month one debrief. We gathered in a hostel in Belgrade, Serbia to take time to rest, be discipled and worship Jesus as a squad. It was in that time of debrief that someone asked me to build a house.
You’re probably thinking what in the world?! Nettie build a house? Yeah right! I was definitely thinking the same thing…trust me. It’s not everyday that someone asks you to build a house, especially me.
Regardless, I thought what should I do? Research it or contact Habitat for Humanity about it? All I knew was that I couldn’t get this out of my mind and I needed help for sure. This was definitely not something I could do alone, it was something I had to share with someone or somebody. That somebody was my squad.
