Have you ever had a story you can’t wait to share with someone? You go and tell that person, and all they say is, “that’s cool.” Meanwhile you’re exploding inside with a REALLY, that’s all you have to say?! As if your story isn’t important… but trust me it is.
Throughout this journey I’ve been speaking and partnering with local churches, businesses, small groups etc. and I’ve come to realize one main thing after talking with people: Everybody has a story waiting to be told inside of them. Stories of successes and failures are what makes us who we are. There is no greater agony than to not share the story inside of you. Therefore, I asked three people and they agreed to share a glimpse of their story that is raw and real and inspiring.

Lizzie:

Every vegetable her family had growing in their garden, she picked and put in a bag for me to keep. I didn’t ask, she just freely gave. “I still mess up” she said.
“Sometimes in life, my mind gets jumbled like a tangled rope and other times things are so clear.” “It’s cool that God loves me so much to not leave me in that mess, but pick me up and give me a new life in him.”

–Lizzie, you inspire me.

Jenn:

“I was always an alcoholic, and a pain pill addict for a year and a half after a horrific car accident,” she said. Jenn told me she saw the joy of Jesus in a man in an AA meeting and wanted that same joy he had. That’s when she met Jesus as her Lord and Savior. She now has been clean for 12 years, has fostered 18 children, and is working on writing a book of her story.

–Jenn, you inspire me.

Liz:

In search to find herself after getting over a rough relationship “church?!” she said begrudgingly, “I’m not going there.” As much as she didn’t want to go she went because of a friend’s invitation. It was the first time the gospel became real to her. She came to Jesus as her Lord and Savior and today her life is forever changed. She is a small group, young adult and student ministry leader. She desires to continue to learn more about Jesus and make Him known.

–Liz, you inspire me.

“You’re never too dirty, messy or broken to come to Jesus.”

My favorite thing so far about this journey on the world race is partnering with people. I love listening to stories of trials and triumphs, that we all have gone through and hearing how Jesus has drawn us to himself. Jesus turns our mess into a message. I can’t wait to hear more stories of others overseas and be able to share them with you soon.

“God can turn your mess into a message.”

So what’s your story, and are you sharing it? It doesn’t have to be fancy, all put together or clean. It doesn’t have to be radical or jaw dropping. It is your own unique story that makes you who you are today. You never know who’s life it will inspire.

THANK YOU for your support whether it has been in prayer or financially. I am so thankful that YOU are apart of my story.
