Hello all of my dear friends!
You all have ventured with me on this unforgettable journey from start to finish. Though what a bumpy, wide, unexpected, narrow, straight and everything in-between path it’s been. Although, this path sounds near to impossible to walk on, nothing is impossible with our God.
That being said, I would love to update where the Lord has been leading me on this road that I continue to embark on.
This story starts back in Africa, when my squad was having our debrief in Rwanda. Our squad mentor had us do a prayer tunnel. Which is when our whole squad creates a tunnel and we get to pray over each other one at a time. Now as you walk through this tunnel you’re suppose to quiet your heart and mind and listen to what the Holy Spirit could be sharing with you. As I approached this tunnel I heard a very distinct voice in my head whisper “you’re not done”. The crazy thing was that I was in the process of getting ready to leave the World Race to be spend time with my father who had at the time became hospitalized, so, when God spoke this to me, I was very taken aback.
Continuing on, I came back from the race and I found my thoughts kept replaying what I heard so clearly spoken to me in Rwanda back in July. I also realized the moment I got back to America, I felt as though my whole future had drastically changed and nothing was looking like what I thought my life would be after the race. And as I started to look back at my “life plan” after the race, I quickly realized it was never a plan God and I talked about, instead it was a bargain I made with him before I left. My first 2 months back home were nothing short of difficult and as I started processing my time on the mission field and how much I thrived in this specific field, it became clear to me that I was most definitely not finished. One would say not by a long shot and that’s what God had been speaking to me all along.
Thus I’ve remained very open to where He is leading and wherever He will continue to lead me. To be honest, all I know is that I’m hungry for more of the Father and I want to continue to grow in a space where I can deepen my spiritual identity and bring forth the Kingdom how ever Christ will have me boldly and intentionally do. Additionally, I looked at different opportunities presented through Adventures in Missions and other organizations, and the program that stood out to me the most was ironically the one that chose me.
Therefore, it brings me great joy to share with y’all where my continual moving road is taking me next. I’ve been accepted to attend the G42 Leadership Academy in Mijas, Spain starting in March! See, this school is a 9 month training program designed to transform, challenge perspectives, train and mobilize Christ-like leaders to reveal the Kingdom of God around the world. The 9 months is separated into 3 trimesters, with training, a practicum and third semester of solidifying practicum lessons and practical application. The thought of attending this school brings me so much excitement and is a place that’ll give me the foothold to further my training. As well as understand how to use my specific giftings throughout the mission field.
I have to raise a total of $10,500 which includes all room and board, as well as flights to and from the middle three month practicum. I’m creating a new blog which I’ll instead be using as a newsletter and way to express what the Lord is teaching me in this new season of my life. Please follow along and be on the lookout for updates. Also, please don’t hesitate to reach out if you’d like to hear more about this opportunity. I would love if ya’ll could spend some time praying about continuing to support me spiritually and/or financially on this journey I’m about to embark on! It’s my fellow supporters who have helped me live out my calling and its because of you that you give me the foothold to proclaim the message of the gospel. Praise God for your generosity.
