I once again find myself passing time in an airport, sitting through a long layover, this time in Boston, Massachusetts. After two more flights and a nearly 24 hour bus ride, I will find myself in Antofagasta, Chile beginning a two month journey up the western coast of South America.
If you have been following my journey over the last year, you know that God has done tremendous work in my life. I have grown in ways I never would have imagined possible. I learned a lot about myself, who God created me to be, and discovered what it means to be a leader. When I was asked to lead another team this fall, it did not take long for God to make it clear that I needed to say yes.
The last two weeks have been filled with more leadership training, encounters with the Holy Spirit, and finally meeting the people on the team I will be leading. These six people are young, full of life and energy, ready for adventure, and hungry for growth in their relationships with the Lord and each other.
I look forward to getting to know each of them, learning everything that they have to offer, and hopefully pouring out a little bit of knowledge in return.

Thanks to some wonderful friends and family, God has once again provided all of the funds necessary for me to travel with this team and to serve Him. While I am excited for the next few months, I am also still focusing on my ultimate goal, which is to get into medical school and become an orthopedic surgeon. As many of you know, this process is difficult and can be very expensive.
