Greetings friends and family!
If you are reading this you probably know that I have decided to embark on the World Race: an 11 month journey through adventure missions that will send me to 11 different countries to work for and with many different communities and people, serving “the least of these”.
This adventure will help me to further push my comfort zone, engage with different realities, learn about other cultures, and meet many new people. All of this is in a greater effort to serve the Kingdom of God and go forth to love others as Jesus taught us.
I know this all may seem a bit radical or overwhelming, believe me I hesitated to fully commit to this journey, but I have decided to trust my gut and my heart and move forward at full speed! With less than 6 months until we depart into the field, there is a lot of work to be done and a lot of anticipation building!
As I blaze ahead I have to remember not only the end goal, but the ultimate purpose of all of this work! Every letter, dollar, prayer, vaccine, form, plane ride, person, and place is shaping not only my life, but the lives of all those I encounter. Whether you are following along from home, have spoken with me at length about the trip, or are someone I will meet in a few short months, the work I am doing and conversations I am having are all acts of love in service to the Kingdom. Long story short, I am confident every aspect of this journey is more than worth the time, energy, and funds that made it all possible.
I am beyond excited to see what is in store for this next adventure and would love for you to follow along with my experiences, challenges, and stories as I prepare to go, while I am abroad, and as I return home to the US. I can use all the support I can get, be it through financial, spiritual, or personal means! Words of encouragement, prayers, and donations are never wasted!
Thus begins the countdown for the amazing World Race and another opportunity to actively live out our lives in love!
