Dear team (I will explain later):

Before I start this letter I want to say thank you for being a part of my life. Over the last couple of years, I have been an equipment mechanic at Sunstate Equipment. This has been good for me in terms of being successful in my job, but something wasn’t right in my life, something was missing. I knew I wanted to do something that focused my life completely on my faith and belief in God, so I sought God and asked what I needed to do and how to do it.

In October 2016 I got a clear answer, I need to go on a World Race. In January 2018 I am saying “Yes” to what God is calling me to do. I’m going on the January 2018 World Race route 2, it’s an 11 month, 11 country missions trip to Indonesia, Philippines, Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, Bosnia, Kosovo, Romania, South Africa, Lesotho, and Mozambique. The World Race is a specific type of mission trip that is organized by Adventures In Missions. Adventures In Missions is a short-term missions organization that has been sending out missionaries since 1989. This is the definition of the World Race by Adventures In Missions “Young adults take on the ultimate adventure that challenges worldviews and wrecks participants’ lives, calling them out of their comfort zones and into lives of real faith, discipleship, and community.” Isn’t that exciting? I believe if God is in it I want it and I do believe God is in this mission trip. On the world race every day is different, some of the things we will be doing are partner with churches and ministries in local communities to preach the Gospel, work in orphanages, plant churches, minister to women and children trapped in prostitution as a result of human trafficking, and bring the restorative hope of God’s love to many nations.

My vision is to embark on this adventure with a home-base team. A team of people here at home, supporting me on this wild adventure. This team would go into the field with me, by continual prayer and following my blog to see what we are up to. As my team, I ask that you would continually pray, both before I leave and while on this world impacting missions trip. And as any team does, you will also be in my prayers. Here is the catch, I am asking you to say yes. Yes to what God is calling you to do to support me and join my team. Yes to one of the questions on the next page. I believe God has called every one of you to say yes to at least one of these questions. I am believing that the team God has planned to support me will say yes to one of these questions, just like I am saying yes to God’s call to go spread the Gospel, and the love that is Gods to 11 different countries. I said yes to put my career on hold and give up comfort, stability, and commodities to be God’s hands and feet. The cost of the World Race missions trip, which includes all traveling, overnight stays, insurance and food cost, is $17,400. My goal is to trust God to provide the wisdom, strength, and all the funds for this trip. I trust God to take care of tomorrow. I want to see what He can do, through our team. I don’t want to put a limit on what I think God can do.
