A lot of things are relative….
What’s normal or a luxury, is completely relative to the place you are or the people you’re talking to. For instance, in both America and Australia, you can flush toilet paper down the toilet.. but not in Bali. Seems normal to a western culture to do that.. that simply every day normal, is not something you can do here. Here that that’s a luxury.
Going from the US to Australia to Indonesia within a month has really uncovered that a lot of things are relative.
Sure, in the US there is a lot of diverse culture, but something my new friends have taught me, “its same same but different.”
The gospel is the gospel, but how we present it to the culture we are in, is just as important as the truth we are sharing.
It’s not about converting people to Christianity, it’s about showing and sharing the love of Christ. Showing that God Loves us so much that he came as a man into a sin-filled world to die for all of that sin, so that we may live with him for eternity, dancing and singing in paradise forever.
Presenting the Gospel in a way that someone of any background or culture could understand, not bringing them to a religion but showing them the relationship they can have with the most high God, is the real goal. Showing, Papa, Abba, Yahweh, Lord of all, who wants to spend eternity with you.

Side note… I just found a bathroom were I could flush the toilet paper down the toilet.. needless to say.. I was very excited.

Finding the joy in everything you do.
