“I should probably write a blog”

It’s been about 2 weeks since we left the States and about a week and half since we’ve been in Australia… however, it feels like 2 months.

Ive had a ton of ideas for blogs and vlogs, but actually taking the time to sit down and put one together is another story… heres to actually writitng down a bit of what Australia has lookes like;

My squad and I have done a lot of Street evangelism and local community events. What does that look like?
Talking with people in shops, maybe praying with someone the Lord highlights, or just saying hi or giving a friendly smile.

One day, in particular we were at a lighthouse at the most eastern point of Australia, and my team and I were praying over the place and decided to split up, just to sit with the Lord. Me being me, I decided to climb over the side fence and sit on the little flat ledge so I could paint. (Side note: just a few feet in front of me was a cliff down to rocks and ocean. No biggie)
As I was painting, a crowd of people started forming by the fence, making me feel a bit like a zoo exhibit. This one family of a mom, dad, grandpa and four little girls, stuck out to me and I felt a nudge to talk with to them.
I asked the girls if they enjoyed painting and they eagerly answered yes. Then I asked them to join me. Each girl painted a bit on the paper. The first little one painted, her mom put it, a “love heart.” The next painted a sun, the 3rd painted a bit of the ocean blue, and the last painted a flower. I talked with their parents a bit about why I was here in Australia and then they went on their way.

I sat back down and off in the distance I heard one of the little girls say “we must be famous!” It was the cutest thing.

Sitting there looking at the paintings, the Lord revealed to my heart that His Heart is in this place. The Sun is His presence.. and I’m still seeking him on the meanings behind the water and flower.

All in all God has shown up in mighty ways in and through me, and throughout my squad since beginning this journey.

I hope to share His Glory “heaps and heaps” throughout this wonderful time.

*Heaps = Australian’s way of saying a lot

“Therefore I, the prisoner for the Lord, urge you to walk worthy of the calling you have received, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, accepting one another in love, diligently keeping the unity of the Spirit with the peace that binds us. There is one body and one Spirit — just as you were called to one hope at your calling — one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is above all and through all and in all.”
