“The Cross has the Final Word”

After walking with God on Friday night, He put this image into my head to paint.

There’s quite a bit so I’ll explain what it means:

The woman represents the church, the bride. As she was once dead but is now alive and saved by Jesus. Her clothes fade from white to red, showing that the she was washed by the blood and is made pure and holy again. Jesus is holding her out of “deaths” reach and holds His hand up in authority over death, it no longer has power over her. The sword(also the cross) has destroyed death through Christ’s blood(since their is red faded on the blade). Now, we have the flag flowing and wrapped around the woman representing the victory we now have in Christ.

I can 100% say that I could not have painted this on my own or thought of it on my own. I haven’t worked on a piece like this in so long that my hand was aching when I finished, but it feels so good to be persistent in art!  I pray that the Lord speaks to you through this and please feel free to tell me what you think or heard from the Lord and share it! God bless!!!
