Entonces, creé esta nueva categoría para que puedan entender qué tipo de ministerio hago a diario para que puedan tener un buen contexto para mis blogs y peticiones de oración. Para cada país escribiré un resumen mas o menos una semana después de que llegue. Voy a actualizar estos de vez en cuando si cambia el ministerio, entonces ustedes siempre pueden venir acá a revisar.
Lunes – Día de aventura
Tenemos la oportunidad de salir a aventurar en Medellín y hacer diferentes actividades turísticas y culturales.
Martes – Día de reposo
Dado que nosotros trabajamos sábados y domingos, descansamos los martes y vamos a distintos lugares para tener internet, hacer compras, y comer. También es un buen día para lavar ropa y asear la casa.
Miércoles – Misceláneo
Los miércoles el escuadrón se divide en diferentes grupos y se reparten tareas de limpiar la fundación, organizar donaciones, visitar casas, o hacer evangelismo en la calle. Por la tarde hay un corto servicio con el cual alguien ayuda dando un testimonio, alabando, o predicando. El miércoles 20, aproximadamente la mitad del escuadrón fué a regalar aguepanela y pan en una zona muy peligrosa y necesitada.
Jueves – Manantiales
Después de desayunar, cogemos una flota que nos sube a un suburbio muy alejado de Medellín donde hay un ministerio de mujeres, un ancianato y un parque con niños con quienes jugar. También preparamos nuestra propia comida entonces hay un grupo de voluntarios que cocina.
Viernes – Manantiales
Limpiamos la planta física e invitamos a niños del sector para que vinieran e hicieran diferentes tipos de deportes. También preparamos nuestra propia comida entonces hay un grupo de voluntarios que cocina.
Sábado – Manantiales
Por la mañana, ayudamos con el ministerio de niños que anda en marcha, ayudamos a darles almuerzo, almorzamos, bajamos de la montaña en la buseta y por la tarde nos dividimos para ayudar con el servicio para hombres y el grupo de jóvenes.
Domingo – La iglesia
Ayudamos con el culto matutino y la iglesia para los niños y luego tenemos el resto del día libre.
So, I created a new category so you can understand what my ministry looks like on a daily basis and have a context for my blogs and prayer requests. For each new country I will write a new one about a week after I arrive. I will update these periodically if ministry changes, so you can always check back.
Monday – Adventure Day
We have the chance to go out and adventure in Medellín by doing different touristic and cultural activities.
Tuesday – Rest Day
Since we work on Saturdays and Sundays, we rest on Mondays and go to different places to get internet, shop, and eat. Also a GREAT day to do laundry and general housekeeping.
Wednesday – Miscellaneous
The squad is divided into different groups that split tasks of cleaning the foundation, organize donations, visit homes, or do street evangelism. In the afternoon there is a short service in which somebody gives a testimony, worships, or preaches. On Wednesday 20th, about half the squad went out to give aguepanela (a kind of sugar water) and bread to a very needy and dangerous part of town.
Thursday – Manantiales
After breakfast, we catch a bus that takes us to a very far suburb of Medellín where there is a women’s ministry, an old people’s home, and a park full of kids to play with. Also, we cook our own meals so there is a volunteer group that helps with all of our meals.
Friday – Manantiales.
We clean the grounds and invite children from the area to come and do different kinds of sports.Also, we cook our own meals so there is a volunteer group that helps with all of our meals.
Saturday – Manantiales
In the morning we help with the ongoing children’s ministry, we help give them lunch, we have lunch ourselves, we ride a bus down the mountain, and we split up in the evening to work with the men’s service and the youth group.
Sunday – Church
We help with the morning service and with the kid’s sunday school and then we have the rest of the day off.
