Hey everyone!

Has anyone ever mispronounced your name? If so, I feel you on that one. I get called “Kayla” more I get called my actual name. It can get hard sometimes, but honestly I get used to it. SO, for those who do not know me, my name is pronounced “Ky-luh” 🙂

Anywho, I’m not here to just tell you about how my name is properly pronounced. I’m here to tell you about me. The real me. The me that I want everyone to know, because I am a pretty open person. I believe that I have a story that is worth sharing, because my story can touch someone. Everyone has a story and if I get the chance I’ll ask anyone about their story because I LOVE stories.

I also love volleyball. I have been playing since the third grade and although it took me forever to finally get the hang of it, I know I have a passion for it. It actually became an idol of mine at one point in my life, and the Lord mercifully took it away for a bit to reset my focus on Him. And God being the awesome person He is, allowed me to play again, but in the right way. Glorifying Him, and I have never been more happy playing the sport.

Family, friends, butterfingers, Hairspray: The Musical (with Zac Efron of course), sweatpants, journaling, laughing, reading mysteries, and spending time with Jesus are things I can add to the list of things I love or things I love to do. I also love how these little things help make up who I am.

But getting to the heart of it, who I am isn’t really me. It is Jesus inside of me. He is the one who is Lord of my life and is the reason why I say what I say or do what I do. He is the reason why I am going on this world race in the first place. He has called me to go out to all nations baptizing in His name, and I get to do just that. How mind blowing. He is everything good in me, and I am proud to wear that around because it is in Him I get to boast. It is in Him I find life and a purpose and a reason to live. HE is the one who created me just as me, and I would not wanna change a thing because He loves me just as I am. How cool is that?
