As we made our way down to the south of France to start the Camino we took a 3day hiatus in Paris, France.  While there we got to attend Hillsong Paris, go to the louvre… for free!!!  (Apparently the museums are free the first Sunday of the month which it just so happened to be).  Saw the Notre Dame Cathedral and the Pantheon.  Explore and bond as a team, and see the Eiffel Tower at night.  (Those of you who know my favorite song, “Die a Happy Man” know it’s a big deal… it truly is beautiful).

We are embarking on the pilgrimage known as the Camino de Santiago.  It is 800km long (thankfully we will not be doing the entire thing) we will start at the beginning in St Jean Pied de Port, France (the hardest but most beautiful part of the whole hike), and do the famous last 100km at the end in Santiago, Spain.  We will bus through parts of the middle.  Many people take this journey in hopes finding themselves spiritually.  Obviously I know exactly whose I am spiritually speaking, but it is an amazing place to easily have spiritual conversations with those walking alongside you.  It will also be a time of reflection on this year as it nears the end, and contemplation and prayer into what is next.  I remember the first time I heard about the Camino it was when I was doing youth ministry.  Dustin, the youth pastor at the time was telling one of the kids about it who was interested in traveling before beginning college.  I remember being intrigued by it then but thinking there’s no way that is something I would actually do…  I wonder if God actually laughed in that moment?!?!  Please be praying for endurance to make it through (we will be averaging about 15miles a day with our pack), pray for opportunities to share God’s love with those on the trail, and pray for wisdom into what is next for me after the race.

I also wanted to take a moment to say thank you to everyone who showed me love, support, and prayer on my last blog.  It was overwhelming in the most amazing way!!  So whether you commented on my blog, messaged me privately, or prayed, thank you from the bottom of my heart.  One thing I have definitely realized this year is that I truly have the most amazing support system!!!  Love you and miss you all!

PS I will share pictures when I have better WiFi to upload them!!!
