One of my favorite types of ministry is construction. I get to visibly see how my efforts are contributing to the kingdom. Needless to say, I was super excited to learn that my team would have a few construction projects while working with Conexion Ministries in Costa Rica.
Thursday morning, we drove to a house belonging to one of the members of the Conexion team, Vanessa. Vanessa and her family had been living in that house for years until one of her neighbors began a construction project on his land. When the neighbor began digging up dirt, the land shifted and dirt poured into Vanessa’s home. For two years, they were unable to live in the house. Since then, the family has been separated into different houses instead of living in one place as many Costa Rican extended families do.
Our team came in to help clear away the dirt, tear down walls and ceiling tiles that had been damaged over the years. Our hope and prayer is that soon the family will be able to move back into their home and finally live together again.
