I am in awe of friends, family, acquaintances, and even strangers who are supporting me and encouraging me through this amazing journey. My words are at a loss when it comes to thanking people. My heart is overflowing with joy by all of you who are supporting me in not only funds but also by your prayers, words, and actions.
Funding has been a difficult part of the journey this far because It’s so easy for me to get discouraged and want to curl up in a ball. Other times funding has been really encouraging and sweet. After feeling super discouraged and facing the difficulty something miraculous happens just a few minutes later. Through this up and down roller coaster, I am constantly reminded how much God has already provided and how He will continue to provide even more abundantly. Experiencing challenges in funding has given me a little glimpse of the many other challenges that I will face along the journey, but it also gives me a glimpse of other sweet moments that will outweigh the challenges.
To catch you up on funding, I am very close to reaching my first goal. On social media, I made it known that my deadline was July 15th, BUT I have until July 31st. Online donations and checks are to be in by July 31st to reach my first goal. When I reach that goal I will be able to go to training camp in August in Atlanta from the 20th thru the 30th. THE LAST DAY TO REACH MY FIRST GOAL of 5k is JULY 31st.
The good news is that I have more than half to reach my first goal. As of now I currently have about $3,600.00 in my account! I am very thankful for the ways people have supported me. I need 1,400 more to reach my 1st goal. The entire cost is $17,017. This amount covers the cost of food, lodging, travel and other living expenses for the entire 11 months. I am very excited for this journey and I am encouraged by the various ways you have come along side me in support. Continue to pray and to pray without ceasing.
