My name is Kelsey Yonnie a recent graduate from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Health. Currently, I’m conducting research centered on the Native American community, which I love doing. In the future, I would like to continue working with the American Indian/Alaskan Native population group and give back to my community. It brings me joy serving and working with diverse community groups and sharing the love of Jesus!

Fun facts about me are: I love the smell of rain, especially in the mountainous, Ponderosa Pine town called, Flagstaff, AZ where I am originally from. I recently just got into rock climbing (but not a fan of the soreness in the forearms haha), I love to swim, hike, and travel. I love animals, mainly dogs because they are friendly, cute and cuddly. I also love to laugh and be spontaneous! When I went to Russia, in the summer of 2015, I got to ride a yak in the Caucasus Mountains.

I grew up with a big family or in other terms a whole village. I grew up with a lot of boys so that in itself does say a lot. My family is a big part of my life and I love them unconditionally. I have a big heart and I am excited to start this exciting journey!

Over the years the Lord has grown in me a heart for the nations and has developed compassion, hope, and joy that is unbelievable. I want to share the character of God with others because He is good, restoring, gracious, forgiving, merciful, faithful, and so much more that we are unable to comprehend. By the love and grace of God, He has shown me what a precious gift the Gospel is and it gives me hope and assurance. This gift should not be kept to ourselves, but shared with those around us!
