[Written at the beginning of the month on June 7]
We are off to month six. We’ve been given literally no information as to where or what we’ll be doing this month. But hey, that’s how the world race is… full of flexibility!
One of the biggest lessons I’ve been learning so far on the race is speaking life over yourself, situations, others… literally everything!
So Nepal is a month where I WILL THRIVE! It’s going to be a month of God doing amazing things in and through us! It’s going to be a month of mind blowing breakthroughs! It’s going to be a phenomenal month!
This by no means implies it will be a month without challenges. But when those challenges come, I WILL THRIVE. It is a choice I will need to make each and every day, that no matter the scenario, situation, or circumstance; I WILL THRIVE! I declare that truth over this month, and amazing things are going to happen because God’s declaring that over me as well!

No joke, less than 3 days after starting this blog, we are squished standing on a bus for a 4hr bus ride (which took 7+hrs). Our bags were thrown on top of the bus (who knows whether they were strapped down) when it was raining. But since I’m THRIVING I saw God’s blessings through it. My teammates are singing worship songs as we ride through the mountain. This gracious lady tells this man that I’ve been waiting for a seat and let’s me sit next to her after he had quickly taken the seat. When the rain gets worse, and the bus has cleared out a bit, they let us bring our bags inside! And finally, we actually ended up at a different location then planned since the roads had been really bad due to the rain, which led to amazing events which you can read about on my teammate’s blog:

It’s hot in Nepal, and when we arrived at church we sat in the only spot where a fan was literally not blowing. It made me more grateful and appreciate the cool Nepal breeze that would blow through the windows every now and then. The heat definitely made it a challenge to thrive at times, but it’s a good thing I had declared it at the beginning of the month 🙂
Hiking was a challenge! We literally hiked up mountains to reach some of the churches. It was hard, but the thriving factor here was the people that needed to hear the Gospel and what we had to share! God also had blessed us with a truck that took us up some of the steeper parts of the mountain for free!
Lastly, in the village we lived in a room full of windows. We were next to a relatively busy path that would bring tons of people by to stare into our room. You can read about how I thrived in this situation on my other post: https://kellymorimune.theworldrace.org/post/when-ministry-has-no-switch
Times are challenging, but there’s always a way to thrive in every scenario!!
