I’m not the greatest journaler, so I feel this would be a good opportunity for me to look back on all God has taught me, as well as let you know what’s been going on:

1) Have big faith
Have you ever felt like Peter? When Jesus called Peter out of the boat to walk on water (during a storm), he got out of the boat and his eyes were on Jesus. But then he panicked. He looked at the storm, the high waves and wind, and he took his eyes off Jesus and started sinking. Jesus says to him, “you of little faith, why did you doubt”? (Matt 14:22-33)

God told me I would be fully funded by the end of the year. December 31st came and went and I hadn’t received any e-mails saying more donations had come in (how we were typically notified) so I second guessed God… maybe I had heard Him wrong, maybe it’ll just take a little longer than He said. However, January 4th came and I decided to check my support portal… and it was all there! Every dollar of $17,700 had been added before the 1st of January! They were given anonymously which means they don’t notify us through e-mail! So why did I doubt? If God says it’s going to happen, then by golly IT’S GOING TO HAPPEN!

2) Don’t put God in a box
We learn about God though the Bible, but do we always believe that God can do all that He says? Or do we only believe the things we see with our eyes. God has shown me the amazing things He can do that I never personally experienced in my life before, until the WR. To read more about an awesome story from a previous blog, click here!

God wants to do big things in this next year. Not only on the WR though, but through your lives as well. Do you limit the things God can do? How about we both erase those limits, and give God endless boundaries!

3) You don’t need to be on the WR to do ministry
And I’m not talking organized ministry through a church, etc. It’s talking to the people God has placed in your life in every moment. It could be the person you meet at the bus stop, or at work, or the waiter that serves you a meal. I struggle with this, but it’s been amazing seeing my teammates step out and talk to every person they sit next to or find themselves near.

4) Find people with Godly attributes and spend time with them
– If you want to become a prayer warrior, HANG OUT WITH A PRAYER WARRIOR
– If you want to become an encourager, HANG OUT WITH SOMEONE WHO ENCOURAGES OTHERS
– If you want to become completely satisfied in Christ alone, SPEND TIME WITH PEOPLE WHO ARE DEEPLY IN LOVE AND CONTENT WITH GOD ALONE
– SPEND TIME WITH GOD, HE HAS ALL THESE ATTRIBUTES 🙂
