Hi everyone! Welcome to my blog!
Since I’ll be gone for 11 months, here’s an interesting fact for each month!
1) I was born and raised in the Bay Area in California. I took a quick detour to SoCal for college, but moved back after I was done.
2) I graduated with a degree in Kinesiology and taught PE at an awesome elementary school (Go Eagles)! I’ve had a couple set backs with my health, which eventually led me to be an EMT, so that I could help people in some of their toughest times.
3) I love the outdoors. I don’t have as much time to go, but feel the best when I’m just out in nature!
4) A couple bucket list items include visiting every national park in the US, and climbing every high point (the highest point in each state). If you’re interested in checking out a high point, but don’t want to climb a mountain, I’d suggest Rhode Island… haha it’s literally flat 🙂
5) I’m currently 29 (yea, I’m getting old), and can’t think of a better thing to do for my 30th year than to travel the world serving others!
6) Wow, 11 is a lot… I’ve got a mom who loves to travel, a dad who enjoys golfing, and a younger brother who’s a pharmacist (yes, he got all the smart genes), as well as a whole bunch of family (relatives or not) who I will definitely miss next year!
7) I love the book of Acts… and I can’t wait to see all the amazing things God will do through and in us next year!
8) I enjoy playing (most) sports. It’s a great way to get exercise instead of constantly staring at a wall while you run!
9) I currently live in a house with 4 friends from church. It’s great! It can be crazy at times, but there’s always room for a good conversation. I also love board games and am hoping to play some new ones abroad with people we meet!
10) I’m not quite sure what I’m going to do after coming back next year, but trust that God will place that footpath as I take each step and trust in Him!
11) I can’t think of anything better to do, than to share about how much God loves people whether they have their whole life together or not. I don’t do it much, but know that the WR will pull me out of my comfort zone to experience this joy!
So that’s a sparknotes version of who I am!
