So I stole from a friend the concept of a word for the year (Thanks Audrey Brown). This word is meant to guide your year, to make you stop and think. This is just one word that can change the way you look at each and every situation that crosses your path in the coming year. This word can be a guide, like a road map to what you want. Like a light at the end of the tunnel when decisions need to be made. This one word can help to make a year what it should be.
I came across this concept and I stopped to think… what could my word be? One word that would guide me. I immediately though about God and how he is my guide in this world. This lead me to one of my favorite verses 1 Corinthians 10:31 “Whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.”
One word stood out, GLORY!!
So this will be my word for 2018. Glory! I will make decisions based on if it will bring glory. Will this glorify God, will it make me feel glory, will this bring glory to the other people involved?
2018 will be a GLORIOUS year for me. There is no doubt about this. I will be going on the world race. I will be using my life to bring glory to God. But I want to do more than that. I want to emit glory this year. So whatever I do in 2018 I want it to be full of GLORY!
