Our first stop was one to remember without a doubt. The ministry here was extremely eye opening to what people are raised into, beliefs, traditions, and culture. But the thing that has touched me the most was the relationships we made with the little ones that lived all around us. We lived in a apartment building which was basically its own community. Which means every afternoon we got the chance to be around a group of kids that not only recognized us but we got to form a daily relationship with. Its funny that through the hearts of children language barriers mean almost nothing. Love can spread like a wild fire simply through their laughs, smiles and hugs. They would find the puriest enjoyment out of the most simple things like making secret handshakes (which were impossible to remember because all 40 would make their own) Rolling tires around and using them as holla hoops, even just drawing pictures in the dirt. These kids taught me many lessons but the most important is to smile often, worry less, and show love to anyone around you.
