Vlog Notes

  • Our manistry team will set out for the town of Pottuvil, Sri Lanka on the 18th of March. We will be in the city for a little over 3 weeks doing ministry work.
  • My friend Joey is not claiming to have spoken in tongues, although he also is not ruling it out as a way in which the Spirit was moving. He is simply stating that through his interaction with this blind man he believes the man experienced the Fathers love despite the language barrier between them. The gifts of the Spirit talked about in 1st Corinthians are indeed something that I believe in, and if you’d like to know my full views feel free to reach out. Regardless of how you view these I think we can all agree on what Paul writes immediately after which is, “the greatest of these is love.”

1st Corinthians 13: 1-3, 13

1 If I could speak all the languages of earth and of angels, but didn’t love others, I would only be a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. 2 If I had the gift of prophecy, and if I understood all of God’s secret plans and possessed all knowledge, and if I had such faith that I could move mountains, but didn’t love others, I would be nothing. 3 If I gave everything I have to the poor and even sacrificed my body, I could boast about it; but if I didn’t love others, I would have gained nothing…13 Three things will last forever—faith, hope, and love—and the greatest of these is love.”
