* Hey Jackie Chan!! ( is what the little kids in Haiti called me. They loveeee kungfu movies there lol)

* Nepalese people starts to speak Nepali to me…(daily occurrence here in Nepal, my face seems to fit in here 🙂 )

* “Hey Spanish boy!! “( Jamaican man yells at me to try to sell me something. There are actually a lot of Asians in Jamaica due to some economical migration, but they are mostly Chinese descent. So I guess to this guy I didn’t pass the “Asian” look and he decided to go with “Spanish boy”)

* ¿Porque te puede hablar español? Tu eres Chino. Translation: why are you able to speak Spanish? You’re Asian. ( As one of the guys in the Dominican Republic we played basketball with asked me )

* You’re Christian? But you are Asian. ( in a predominantly Buddhist/Hindu country, it would be weird for someone to see a Christian that is Asian… specially in countries where Christians are prosecuted)

* You were in the Military? But you’re short! ( The reaction of a Jamaican woman at one of the churches we went to, as I told her what my job was back in the states. Jamaica has a height requirement for their military. 6’0ft and above)

* An Indian man starts to speak Hindi to me… ( the blank look on my face immediately made him switch to English lol)

* You’re Asian and you don’t like spicy food? ( “nope, but I love rice.” My typical reply to this question)

* A girl from England at our hostel here in Nepal saw me coming down the stairs with my kurta(Indian clothing)…. she puts her hand together, bowed and said “Namaste” to which I then replied with the most California accent you can imagine… “wadup” throwing up a peace sign lol.

Typical occurrences as a Filipino on the world race Lol

Lord thank you for this life!! Continue to use me to give others a different perspective and learn from theirs.
